Student Clubs/Chapter

The Science Club operational under the Auspices of School of Basic Sciences aims to promote the cause of Sciences among the students. The Club provides its member a platform to discuss ideas related to different branches of science and organize as well as participate in various activities to achieve its aim.

Aims & Objective

• To trigger interest among the students in Science.
• To promote inquisitiveness among the students and inculcate scientific temper among them.
• To encourage, motivate and equip the students in applications of Science and its interface with society.
• To provide the students’ an experiences in the sciences above and beyond the classroom setting.
• To make the students’ exposed to practical environment in the maximum possible ways.
• To provide career information in the sciences.

Scope & Activities

• Lectures by renowned scientists/ mathematicians.
• Promotion of interest in science through quiz contest, science competitions, documentaries,movies etc.
• Organization of Seminar and Workshops to provide the scientific exposure and a hand on trainings and career awareness programs.
• Field visits and tours to science labs/museum/exhibition and places related to science.
• Participation in various in house and inter-university Science competition.
• Presentation and Public outreach programme.

Functioning of the Club

The club functions through its members, office bearers and faculty coordinators under the auspices of School of Basic Sciences in the University. It consists of members, office bearers, faculty coordinators and Advisor. The club membership is open to all current students in all academic programs in School of Basic Sciences.
