Panel Discussion on Earth Day organised by School of Basic Sciences

School of Basic Sciences, Babu Banarasi Das University, Lucknow organized a Panel Discussion on occasion of Earth Day on April, 22nd 2024 on the theme “Jal Zameen Jungle- A Sustainable Use for Future Generation” followed by Tree Plantation by Honourable Vice Chancellor Dr. A. K. Mittal, Babu Banarasi Das University with Panellists and Dr. S Ahmad Ali, Dean, School of Basic Science, Lucknow. The panellists shared their experience to sustainable uses of resources for healthier life and healthier environment. First panellist Dr. Venkatesh Dutta, Professor, Department of Environment Science, Baba Bheemrao Amedkar Central University, Lucknow shared his experience for conservation of rivers, water reservoir and ground water table. Second panellist Dr. Vidhu A. Sane, Chief Scientist and Professor, Plant Gene Expression Lab, National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI-CSIR), Lucknow shared her experience on methods of biodiversity conservation. Third panellist was a social worker for nature, Mr. Gopal Upadhyay, Sangathan Mantri, Lokbharti, Lucknow. He shared his experience on community involvement and mass mobilization towards safe use of water and natural farming.
