The School of Education, Babu Banarasi Das University, successfully organised a two-day International Conference on “Indian Knowledge System (IKS) in the Context of NEP 2020” on 4th and 5th February 2026. The conference witnessed the participation of total 286 delegates, including both national and international research papers from academicians, researchers, faculty members, and students from various institutions.

The conference commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by Ganesh Vandana, marking an auspicious beginning. The Inaugural Session featured addresses by the DignitariesGuest of Honour, and Keynote Speaker, who highlighted the relevance of Indian Knowledge Systems in contemporary education aligned with the vision of NEP 2020.

The academic programme included plenary sessions and technical sessions, where eminent scholars and researchers shared insights on Indian philosophy, traditional pedagogy, curriculum integration, and multidisciplinary approaches in education. The sessions encouraged meaningful academic dialogue, research exchange, and collaborative thinking.

The conference concluded with a Valedictory Session, summarising the key outcomes and deliberations of the two days and vote of thanks by the Convenor, Head and Dean (In-charge), School of Education BBD University. Overall, the event provided a vibrant academic platform for promoting Indian Knowledge Systems and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to excellence in education and research.
