Brief description of the Event:

School of Management, Babu Banarasi Das University, in collaboration with CII-YI organized One day workshop on The Road Safety Awareness Campaign aimed to educate the students of the University about the importance of road safety and techniques on life saving skills. The event commenced with welcoming and felicitation of the guests from Anand Motor Agencies Ltd and EMRI with bouquet as a token of admiration by Dr Anchal Rastogi. The event featured interactive exhibits, expert talks, live demonstrations.

Objectives:

  1. Increase public awareness of road safety issues.
  2. Promote responsible driving behaviors.
  3. Provide information on the latest road safety technologies and regulations.
  4. Engage the community in interactive learning experiences.

The event was started by Dr Daud Husami, who is Chief Instructor and administrative Incharge of Uttar Pradesh, EMRI. He is a seasoned Healthcare professional and Emergency Medical Services Expert and trained 10,000+ Healthcare professionals and common man in life saving skills. He emphasized on the importance of road safety and the need for community involvement. It included Safety Equipment Display. A demonstration of how to deal in case of an emergency situation like a road accident was done to make the students aware of the basic know-how. A live demonstration was also done on how to do Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). After the demonstration of CPR by the expert, the students as well as the faculty members tried their hands on giving CPR. The workshop focused on various issues like hand hygiene techniques skills, bleeding control, trauma emergencies to name a few. An educational quiz about road safety rules and first aid was also conducted as a part of the campaign.

Attendees appreciated the interactive nature of the exhibits and found the expert talks to be highly informative. The student’s activities were particularly well-received, providing a fun and engaging way to learn about road safety and basic first aid in case of an emergency. The Road Safety Awareness Campaign successfully met its objectives, enhancing public understanding of road safety. The event’s interactive components and expert insights contributed to a meaningful and engaging experience for all participants. The event concluded by the speaker Dr Daud Husami by facilitating Dr. Anchal Rastogi with a memento as a token of respect.
