SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECTURE

An online Webinar was organized by the School of Architecture and Planning, BBD University on 09th March, 2021(Tuesday) through online Google-Meet presented by one of the renowned architect of Lucknow – Prof. (Ar.) Sunil Kumar Srivastava, Director & Principle Architect, Designer’s Wing, Lucknow.

Students got aware not only about the word sustainability but also get in-depth of it, with the responsibility as an architect and as a citizen too. Also got to knows that how to attain it by using modern techniques and how to promote it. 48 Students of B.Arch– 4th year, 5th year & M.Arch (PT) participated in the lecture.

The lecture was initiated with a short introduction and welcoming of guests by Ar.Shalini Diwaker, Assistant Professor, School of Architecture and Planning, BBD University, Lucknow.

Further, the session was carried through a lecture in form of an online PowerPoint presentation showing context, responsibilities, impact, components & modern techniques to attain Sustainability.

After the ending of the session, there was the students’ and guest’s questionnaire round that also strengthens the session. Furthermore, the lecture ended with a vote of thanks from Ar. Sangeeta Sharma, Head of the Department, School of Architecture and Planning, BBD University, Lucknow.
