Introduction:

Vishwaniketan’s UG Fellowship Program aims to impart theoretical knowledge and at the same time introducing students to the real-world problems and guide them to become resourceful solution providers using Project-Based Learning(PBL). Vishwaniketan, in association with CTIF(Center for TeleInFrastructure), offers its student International Fellowships at top-notch International Universities where they are trained by the best mentors, coaches and guides from around the world.

 

Prof. (Dr.) Apurva Anand (Dean, School Of Engineering, BBD University) started by addressing and motivating the students by giving them an insight about real-life problems and solution by innovating new projects – and why they were conducting such events for the students, what benefit students will gain by such events and many more advantages of students. This program was done under the guidance of Prof (Dr.) Praveen Kumar Shukla(HOS CSE).

 

 

 About the Seminar:

 It was a session with Dr. Janhavi S. Inamdar, director of a reputed institute, Vishwaniketan. The aim of the session was to spread awareness about Project Based Learning and tackling real-life problems with projects, Indian Research/Product Development, Start-ups and design patents.

She started the session with “Learning Process” and explained the limitations of common learning methods like reading, listening and watching a demonstration. She emphasized on the benefits of the practical implementation.

She explained the vision and objective of the 6-weeks UG fellowship programme provided by their institution and further told the participants about PhD fellowship, research papers, design patent, CTIF-Global Capsule (CGC) network and their collaboration with Universities Abroad.

She further mentioned about the achievements of Vishwaniketan and it’s goals, explained the Project-Based Learning and it’s experienced to 20,000+ students successfully and it’s benefits and added the key features of UG Fellowship program like improved focus, technical and communication skills etcetera.

She described the analysis and growth of the institution till now and told the participants about the abroad universities that are in collaboration and explained the fee structure, duration of the course and registration process.

 

She answered many questions raised by the participants and at the end Prof. (Dr.) Apurva Anand (Dean, School Of Engineering), proposed a vote of thanks. The entire session was coordinated with the help of  Prof. (Dr.) Praveen Kumar Shukla (HOD-CSE) and other faculty members of the department of CSE, BBD University.

The students got insights about the new learning technique and UG fellowship, how can it be useful to them and how it will bring the change in the present era. The event ended on a high note, with every student understanding the basics of fellowship and PBL.
