IBM CENTER OF EXCELLENCE

The IBM Centre of Excellence (CoE) at the School of Engineering is a strategic academic-industry collaboration established to equip students and faculty with next-generation skills in emerging technologies, such as Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cybersecurity, IoT, Machine Learning and Blockchain.

This Centre serves as a premier knowledge and innovation hub, aiming to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world industry applications. Through its cutting-edge infrastructure, expert-led training programs, and IBM-certified courses, the CoE empowers students to become industry-ready professionals and future technology leaders.The IBM CoE also supports project-based learning, faculty development, research collaborations, and global certification opportunities.

Aims:

• To bridge the gap between academia and industry by providing practical exposure to emerging technologies through IBM’s global expertise.
• To empower students and faculty with industry-relevant skills in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Data Science, IoT, Cybersecurity, and Blockchain.
• To enhance students’ employability and entrepreneurial potential through hands-on training, certification programs, and mentorship.

Objectives:

• To offer IBM-certified training programs and workshops that build technical proficiency in advanced computing technologies.
• To provide access to state-of-the-art tools, software platforms, and cloud environments for real-time project development and simulations.
• To integrate industry-oriented curriculum and practical case studies into academic programs across engineering disciplines.
• To facilitate capstone projects, internships, and industrial mentoring under the guidance of IBM professionals and certified trainers.
• To support hackathons, innovation challenges, and startup incubation based on technology solutions powered by IBM platforms.
