The Department of Physics is an integral part of Babu Banarsi Das University. The department has highly qualified faculty members and support staff and has collaborated with National as well as International Organizations and Institutions.
The Department of Physics is committed to working towards the development of innovative and handy ways of teaching of the subject and developing a core research group for carrying out cutting-edge research in a variety of fields such as Atomic and Molecular Physics, Solid State Electronics, Environmental Physics, Radiation Physics, Material Science, Condensed Matter Physics and Biophysics. The Department also offers Ph.D. in Physics in order to nurture young minds towards embracing various scientific challenges.
The vision of the department is to be highly creative and innovative in order to develop as a Centre of Excellence that bridges the gap between learning Physics and its application in order to conduct quality research to ensure that needs for development are well addressed and fulfilled.
