SANKALP, School of Education, BBDU is a dedicated and dynamic platform which is designed to promote moral and ethical values among its members, fostering character development and a sense of social responsibility. We believe that education goes beyond academic excellence, the forum aims to instill a strong foundation of values, moral and ethics in the students.

In addition to classroom teaching and learning, a prospective teachers must foster strong relationship among the prospective teachers, facilitating meaningful social interaction and communication in their daily lives. The Sankalp Forum at SOED, BBDU works in this direction with the following mission-

  • To promote educational ethics among prospective teachers.
  • To promote vocational skills (Professional Values) with education for holistic development.
  • To build Emotional control and balance among pupil teachers.

OBJECTIVE

Sankalp forum in a B.Ed. program typically aims to achieve the following objectives:

  1. Promote Ethical Awareness:
    To sensitize teacher trainees to the importance of moral and ethical values in personal and professional life.
  2. Foster Character Development:
    To encourage the development of virtues such as honesty, respect, empathy, and responsibility among future educators.
  3. Enhance Social and Emotional Learning:
    To develop social skills and emotional intelligence, enabling teacher trainees to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  4. Encourage Reflective Practice:
    To promote self-reflection and critical thinking about one’s values and their impact on teaching practices.
  5. Build a Positive School Culture:
    To prepare teacher trainees to contribute to a positive and ethical school culture that supports the holistic development of students.

    To instill a sense of civic duty and encourage active participation in community and societal development.
