URB CARE CONFERENCE 22nd&23rdNOV2023
Since 2017, the G-STIC community and conference connect experts from all over the world to foster technological innovation for achieving the SDGs. With successful conference editions from 2017 to 2023, in Europe, Middle East and Latin America G-STIC has become the place where organizations and communities engaging with technology for the SDGs and climate change come together to exchange state-of-the-art technological solutions, best practices and lessons learned. GSTIC is jointly hosted by institutions in Africa, Europe, Latin America, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.
With the pandemic, the Russia-Ukraine war, the floods in Pakistan and heat waves in India, the earthquakes in Turkey, the world is in a state of chaos. In times of crisis, we are reminded of the urgency and relevance of Agenda 2030 and need clear handles on how to make a tranformativeshift in development.During the URBCARE conference, speakers will share their insights about key urban issues such as heat stress, air pollution, waste management, wastewater use and urban flooding. The way these are interconnected in a city, means an integrated approach to solving these challenges is needed. The speakers will focus on innovative ways of building integrated urban climate resilience and sustainability with scalable technology options.
