“UDGHOSH” the forum of, for and by MBA students of school of management, BBD University once again celebrated its two-day mega event UDGAM 2019 on November, 7 and 8 at BBD campus, Lucknow. UDGAM is a management carnival celebrated every year hosting many inter B-school events inviting participation from various colleges in and around Lucknow,showcasing the multifaceted talent of budding managers.
Present in the auditorium were eminent personality, Mr. Chandrashekhar Verma- the guest speaker for the day, Prof. (Dr.)Sushil Pande (Dean/ in-charge, SOM) and Prof.Adesh Srivastava(UG Programme Co-ordinator, SOM), distinguish faculty members and students.
The fest started by seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha with an enthralling dance performance by management students. It was followed by a welcome note by Udghosh President Mr. Md. Tarab.
It was further followed by a motivational speech by our guest lecturer Mr.Chandrashekhar Verma. Mr Verma has authored many books. He is also a well known corporate trainer and has worked with Reliance Retail, Times of India, TV 18 and many others. His unique way of presenting the management principles in the form of poetry mesmerised the entire audience.He motivated the students to become entrepreneurs and create jobs rather than becoming a mere 9 to 5 employee. He also shared his views on vision, risk taking, effective competition handling and new marketing trends and touched upon life lessons about desire and destiny. He concluded the speech emphasising on staying hungry and passionate about life long learning which is essential to sustain in today’s world.
Running parallel were various off-stage events like Rangoli making, mehndi competition, t-shirt painting and matka painting. On-stage programs included UDYOG (E-Cell events) where student participants presented new business plans along with case studies, Other programs were ABHYUDAYA (Marketing quiz and case study), MEDHACHARAN (HR case study), VIBHAV (Finance Events) and SAPTRANG (Cultural Events). There was active participation from various institutes like IMS, Lucknow University, IET, Goel Institutes of Higher Studies, IT College, ICCMRT, RR Group of Institutions and BBDNITM.
The day ended with lot of excitement and generated enthusiasm among the students for the next day.
