The aim of National Service Scheme is to give an extension dimension to the higher education system and orient the student youth to community service while they are studying in educational institution. The reason for the formulation of this objective is the general realization that the college and +2 level students have a tendency to get alienated from the village/slum masses which constitute the majority of the population of the country. The educated youth who are expected to take the reins of administration in future are found to be unaware of the problems of the village/slum community and in certain cases are indifferent towards their needs and problems. Therefore it is necessary to arouse the Social conscience of the students, and to provide them an opportunity to work with the people in the villages and slums. It is felt that their interaction with the common villagers and slum dwellers will expose them to the realities of life and bring about a change in their social perception.

Team Eloquents

Team Eloquents is the voice of NSS BBD University, as team eloquents works with all the literary works in NSS BBD University as well as this team is responsible to spread awareness through their eloquence being a part of NSS BBD University.
Team Cultural

Team Cultural includes the cultural performances to spread awareness regarding social service and public welfare during the events of NSS BBD University as well as they participate in other events through NSS BBD University in purview of BBD University.
Team Fine Arts

Team Fine Arts is a team which works for the decoration and representing their talents of art & craft to spread the idea of social service, welfare of society for which NSS BBD University works
Team Technical

Team Technical is a team which also plays a vital role as this team works on the digital aspects of NSS BBD University. All the Technical works are handled and done by this team only.
Team Discipline

Team discipline is having all the responsibility for looking over the discipline in the events and taking over the charge for conducting events in a disciplined manner.
Team Dramatics

Team Dramatics includes performances like Nukkad Natak, stage play, Skits and many more. This team express the values and ideas of NSS BBD University i.e., social service and social welfare through their talent of acting and expression.
Team Photography

Team Photography plays very important role as this team works to capture all the important and precious moments during the events or before the events which helps other teams to work more efficiently.
Team Hospitality

Team Hospitality is a team which is responsible for welcoming the guests of the events and this team is known for their skill of hospitality and which puts an impression on the guests as well as other participants of the events.
Team Finance

Team Finance works with the financial aspects of National Service Scheme, BBD University. This team looks over the expenses of National Service Scheme on events and requirements to be delivered for the events.

The Flag Hoisting Ceremony

The Flag Hoisting Ceremony where Tiranga is raised with Pride and Honour which held at BBD University. NSS Unit of Babu Banarasi Das University was also present for flag hoisting. The Flag was hoisted by Mr. R.K. Aggrawal, Chief Executive Director, BBDEG, in the presence of Prof. (Dr.) S.C. Sharma, Pro Vice Chancellor, BBD University, Prof.(Dr.) S.M.K. Rizvi, Chief Proctor, Dean Student Welfare, BBDEG, Prof. (Dr.) Prabhash Chandra Pathak , Programme Coordinator, NSS BBD University Dr. Syed Anas Ansar, Programme Officer, NSS , BBD University, All Deans, Directors and HODs inspiring everyone to uphold the Spirit of the Nation. HAR GHAR TIRANGA ( Flags Distribution)

National Service Scheme, Babu Banarasi Das University organized Flags Distribution event under the scheme ” HAR GHAR TIRANGA ” to raise awareness and spread the feeling of patriotism among the villagers of Uttardhauna. The event was started by Prof. (Dr.) S.M.K. Rizvi, Chief Proctor & Dean Student Welfare, BBDEG, Prof. (Dr.) Prabhash Chandra Pathak, Programme Coordinator, Dr. Syed Anas Ansar, Programme Officer, NSS BBD University along with Gram Pradhan Uttardhauna.

Kakori

On the 100th Anniversary of Kakori Incident National Service Scheme, Babu Banarasi Das University commemorates the Kakori Incident through a series of engaging events, including Painting, Essay writing, Speech, and General Knowledge competitions to spread the awareness among the citizens and the students. These activities were designed to honor the courage of the revolutionaries involved in the 1925 incident and to deepen students’ understanding of this key moment in India’s struggle for Independence

Plantation Drive

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on 111th episode of ‘Maan ki baat’ highlighted the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, launched on World Environment Day.

National Service Scheme Babu Banarasi Das University organised an online plantation drive to be a part of positive change. Approx hundred plus volunteers plant trees in their house and locality. Our NSS programme coordinator Prof (Dr.) Prabhash Chandra Pathak appealed to every volunteer to participate in this tree plantation initiative, and celebrated both motherhood and the environment.

Voting Awareness 2024

The National Service Scheme Babu Banarasi Das University orchestrated a comprehensive Voting Awareness initiative at Uttardhauna Village and within the university premises. Led by Prof. (Dr.) Prabhash Chandra Pathak and Dr. Syed Anas Ansar, the program featured a Rally, Cleanliness Drive, Speech Competition, and an accompanying Rally on the third day to promote civic engagement and democratic participation among residents. Dr. S.M.K. Rizvi, Dean Student Welfare, served as the distinguished Chief Guest, advocating civic participation.

NSS 7-day special Camp

National Service Scheme Babu Banarasi Das University conducted a 7-day camp in Uttardhauna focused on community development. Highlights included legal awareness, a cleanliness drive, yoga sessions, youth engagement in sports, educational support for underprivileged children, voting awareness and a road safety program. The initiative showcased the NSS’s dedication to empowering communities and leaving a positive impact.

Blood Donation Camp

National Service Scheme, Babu Banarasi Das University organized a Blood Donation Camp on the occasion of Akhil Jyot 2024 celebrated as the death anniversary of Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Ji founder of BBD Educational Society. The camp was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) A.K. Mittal, Vice Chancellor of BBD University along with Prof. (Dr.) S.M.K. Rizvi, Dean Student Welfare, Prof. (Dr.) Prabhash Chandra Pathak, Programme Coordinator, Dr. Syed Anas Ansar, Programme Officer, NSS, BBD University & Other Dignitaries were also present in the inauguration. Faculty members, Students, Volunteers of NSS all donated blood for the social cause.

Team NSS BBDU at Utkarsh 2k24

The NSS Portfolio at Utkarsh, themed “25 Saal Bemisaal,” showcased student creativity and community engagement. Featuring winning models and innovative designs, it addressed real-world challenges with flair. Games like ludo and chess fostered camaraderie and sportsmanship. Amidst the fest’s hustle, the NSS Stall was the epicenter, drawing students and visitors. Its vibrant atmosphere and diverse activities added to the event’s energy. Overall, it testified to the university’s spirit of service and celebration.

National Service Scheme Babu Banarasi Das University, Vrikshit foundation, Umeed Foundation & DCB Bank collaborated to organize a Plantation Drive in BBD University, Lucknow. Volunteers of NSS, BBDU, members of Vrikshit Foundation, Umeed Foundation & Staff members of DCB bank were there for the drive. They all together planted more than 200 plants in a day in the campus of BBD UNIVERSITY, LUCKNOW.

National Youth Day

NSS BBD University celebrated National Youth Day with an impactful event, fostering leadership and societal engagement. National Constitution Day

On the auspicious occasion of Constitution Day when the Constitution of India was adopted by the Parliament of India which is celebrated every year on 26th November. NSS BBD University organized a Quiz and Speech Competition based on the Constitution of India.

World Unity Day

The 141st Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel* who is populary known as the “Ironman of India”. This day is also demarcated as the National Unity Day or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas.

Kalash Yatra and Plantation

Kalash Yatra, a vibrant cultural event, celebrates the rich tapestry of Indian traditions. This procession involves carrying ornate Kalash (pots) adorned with colorful decorations, symbolizing auspiciousness and abundance. Participants, dressed in traditional attire, showcase unity, spirituality, and heritage, creating a captivating spectacle that unites communities and fosters cultural harmony.

Independence day celebration

NSS BBD University, in the spirit of patriotism, annually organizes a vibrant Independence Day celebration. The event features flag hoisting, cultural performances, and speeches that inspire unity and national pride.
