An industrial visit was organized by the Department of Civil Engineering, School of Engineering, BBD University, Lucknow on 17th February 2023 at “Ready Mixed Concrete Plant (RMC),” Dewa Road, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The students and faculty members travelled to the plant by the University’s bus. The visit aimed to provide an exposure to students about practical knowledge of ready mixed concrete at the plant site. During visit, each unit of the plant was found in working condition. The students learnt about working process of the plant. The RMC was being manufactured in a batching plant as per the required specifications of a construction project. In addition to applications of RMC in different fields of civil engineering like road developments, foundations, bridges, walls, floors, footpaths, etc, safety measures were also explained by the Site Engineer at the site. This visit will not provide only practical knowledge about the RMC to the students but will also help in their project work as well as in placement.
