The main objective of School of Pharmacy is to promote the health and welfare of the citizens of India and abroad by preparing graduates in Pharmacy to take independent professional responsibility for the research & development, academia, regulatory affairs and administration in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Graduates, Post Graduates and Doctorates have the scientific and cultural background necessary to assume leadership roles in the profession and the community. Area of Study includes the courses on Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Computer applications, Pharmaceutical Biostatistics etc.
The school has well equipped laboratories for all the above mentioned subjects, alongwith Central Instrumentation facilities, Computers etc. The School of Pharmacy is a recognized centre of research. The School is one of the pioneers in the post graduate courses of pharmacy and is one of the most sought after. Instrumentation like HPLC (two units) (Shimadzu), HPTLC (CAMAG), Spectrophotometer (Shimadzu & Systronics), Refrigerated Centrifuge (Sartorius), Texture Analyser (Stable Micro Systems), BOD incubator, Autoclave (Industrial size), Lyophilizer, Ultrasonicator (Sartorius), Eliza plate reader, Brookfield Viscometer etc. are a part of the extensive research facilities available. The School of Pharmacy has a Central as well as Departmental library with Books, Encyclopedias, National and International Journals, Magazines, Electronic journals and Books, thesis and dissertations. It has an updated digital library, having a flexible timing, giving ample time to students to quench their academic thirst even in "off hours". An educational tour of the students is undertaken every year where students are made to visit various pharmaceutical companies and an understanding of the real life scenario is given to them.
