BBDU Scholarships

BBD University offers a number of Scholarships to students awarded on the basis of merit in addition to tuition fee refund scheme.

These Scholarship will depend on the number of students in each stream as given below:

For courses with ≤ 60 students – Only the top 5 positions will be considered.
For courses with students ranging from 61 to 120 – Only the top 10 positions will be considered. [5% for positions 06 to 10]
For courses with students ranging from 121 to 240 – Only the top 15 positions will be considered. [5% for positions 06 to 15]
For courses with ≥ 240 students – Only the top 25 positions will be considered. [5% for positions 06 to 25]

Important:

All scholarships cover tuition fees only and are subject to the number of students enrolled in the course/program for the session in which the scholarship is awarded. No scholarship will be awarded if attendance falls below 75%.

Scholarship for PG Students

Scholarship of 25% as a fee concession to the student seeking admission in all Post Graduate courses for those who pass UG Courses from BBDU. This will be effective for first year only, as follows:

For MBA: 15% off in Tuition Fee Only.
For Other PG Courses: 20% off in Tuition Fee Only.

Scholarship for Ph.D. Students (For whole Ph.D. Program)

Scholarship of 25% as a fee concession to the Faculty of BBD University seeking admission in Ph.D. Program.

This Scholarship will also be applicable for internal Post Graduate students.

Other Scholarship by BBD University

SCHOLARSHIP FOR HANDICAPPED QUOTA:

A 10% scholarship (on tuition fees) in any course at BBD University Lucknow will be awarded to students who belong to the Handicapped Category as per Government norms. To qualify for or maintain this scholarship from the second year onwards, students must maintain a minimum class attendance of 75%. Failure to meet this attendance requirement will result in the discontinuation of the scholarship.

SCHOLARSHIP FOR WARD OF ARMY PERSONNEL:

A 10% scholarship (on tuition fees) for any course will be provided to students of BBD University Lucknow who are eligible under the Army quota as per Government norms. To avail or continue this scholarship from the second year onwards, students must maintain a minimum class attendance of 75%. Failure to meet this attendance requirement will result in the discontinuation of the scholarship.

Special Scholarship (Only for students of Babu Banarasi Das University, Lucknow):

All students of BBDU will receive a scholarship of Rs 2000/- per year if they achieve 80% attendance and Rs 1000/- per year if they achieve 75% attendance in their previous academic year. This shall apply only from the second year onwards.
All students of BBDU will be awarded a scholarship of 5% of the tuition fee in the semester following their win in a National or International Level competition in SPORTS, EXTRA CURRICULAR EVENT, and TECHNICAL/CULTURAL EVENT*.
*The scholarship will only be granted after verification of event details and its level. The University reserves the sole right to grant this type of scholarship, and no claims in this regard shall be entertained.

SCHOLARSHIP OF EMPLOYEE QUOTA for BBD University

A 10% scholarship (on tuition fees) for any course will be provided to students of BBD University Lucknow who are eligible under the Employee quota as per Government norms. To avail or continue this scholarship from the second year onwards, students must maintain a minimum class attendance of 75%. Failure to meet this attendance requirement will result in the discontinuation of the scholarship.
A 15% scholarship (on tuition fees) for any course at BBD University will be awarded to the ward (son/daughter) of any employee of BBD Educational Group if their service period is more than 3 years (without break). To avail or continue this scholarship from the second year onwards, the student must maintain a minimum class attendance of 75%. Failure to meet this attendance requirement will result in the discontinuation of the scholarship.
A 20% scholarship (on tuition fees) for any course at BBD University will be provided to the ward (son/daughter) of any employee of BBD Educational Group if their service period is more than 5 years (without break). To avail or continue this scholarship from the second year onwards, the student must maintain a minimum class attendance of 75%. Failure to meet this attendance requirement will result in the discontinuation of the scholarship.

NOTE: VERY IMPORTANT

A student enrolled in Babu Banarasi Das University can avail only one type of SCHOLARSHIP (including Government Scholarships) of any kind in one session of their studies. No two types of SCHOLARSHIPS can be combined. Any claim in this regard will not be entertained.

Students of various categories studying at BBD University can avail scholarships as per the norms prescribed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh from time to time.

How to Apply

Eligible students must apply for scholarship and tuition-fee refund within the prescribed time limit for the respective academic year. Applications will be reviewed by the institution and forwarded to the Uttar Pradesh Government for approval.
